Pasta with Tuna fish sauce is a very well known recipe in the whole country. Basically all families are used to prepare spaghetti or other strands with or without tomatoes, depending on the recipe, but always with this extremely savoury fish.
The recipe we want to introduce is yet typical of the Tuscan coast. In our Sugo al Tonno Toscana in Tavola ®, in fact, along with the traditional tomato and tuna, you will also find typical ingredients of our local cuisine, like sweet peppers, onion, olives and capers. The result is a very thick sauce which is excellent for spaghetti or long strands, but also on delicate crostino di mare ( toasted bread to be spread with this sauce as appetizer/starter).
If used for pasta, you can add red hot pepper and parsely if you like. We suggest to eat this along with some fresh white wines, like Vermentino della Lunigiana, for istance.
